| The Islands | | Tresco |
Tresco can claim to have one of the world's most attractive heliports. Apart from the natural beauty of the Island itself, a major attraction is the world famous subtropical gardens and they are a must for all gardeners and horticulturalists at any time of the year.
Tresco is the second largest Island in the group. It is a place of contrasts. The north of the Island is wild and barren, the centre is made up of green fields, cottages and farmland leading through the tree lined avenue to the world famous Abbey Gardens. The gardens are home to species from 80 countries, ranging from Brazil to New Zealand and Burma to South Africa. Even at the winter equinox more than 300 plants are in flower.
Walking is the most popular method of transport on the Island, however, if you prefer wheels, bicycles are available for hire but there are no cars.
British International is the only carrier, which operates direct flights into Tresco. For further information please contact .
